I just returned from the Build Right Conference - which had an amazing collection of experts presenting on areas of construction such as insulation, framing, balanced ventilation and many other topics.

It was an inspiring event and I learned a lot about the history of energy codes and the best practices that are moving our industry forward. Events like this make me optimistic about the future of the building trades and the progress we are making!

My biggest takeaway was learning about how a properly installed ballanced ventillation system increases indoor air quality and how important this can be for people with allergies and during our sometimes smokey summers. I also enjoyed the presentations about building resilience and how good construction practices take care of longevity, energy efficiency, comfort, and health all at the same time.
